A one-day conference organised by the Society for Court Studies on the history of St James's Palace in London. Although still the official residence of British monarchs, the history of St James's Palace has been relatively neglected. Many aspects of its development remain puzzling. The conference will include a special tour of the Palace which is not normally open to the public.
