The Elizabethan and English Renaissance Area of the Popular Culture Association invites submissions on any aspect of popular culture in England from c.1450-c.1750 for the 34th annual Popular Culture Association Conference to be held in SAN ANTONIO, Texas on April 7-10, 2004. The conference is the national meeting of the PCA and the American Culture Associations meeting jointly with the Southwest Texas/Popular Culture & American Culture Associations. Topics may include, but are not limited to, popular entertainment, popular literature, popular music, gender, self and group identity, literacy, education, dress, popular religion, popular politics, regionalism and nationalism. Both panel and single paper proposals are welcome. Please send paper title, abstract, and contact information (including mailing address).
