The German Historical Institute (GHI) in Washington, DC is currently inviting scholars to be listed in a directory entitled German Studies in North America: A Directory of Scholars, Research, and Publications. The purpose of the directory is to facilitate collaboration and networking among scholars based in the United States or Canada who are working on German themes in fields such as history, sociology, musicology, and the German language.

Currently, the directory is available as a searchable online guide. The GHI is now in the process of preparing a printed version of the directory, to be published in 2004. We encourage scholars working on Germany to visit the online directory and register, or if they are already listed, to consider updating their entry. The web address is provided below. In order to be included in the print version of the directory, all information must be received by October 15, 2003.
