War and Sports

We seek paper and panel proposals on all themes and topics related to war and sports. Sports as war, sports during wartime, and the interplay of sport and military metaphors, to suggest but a few possibilities. We are particularly interested in these topics as they relate to the Korean War and the Cold War. We are also interested in papers addressing popular culture, troop morale, and the anti-military attitudes of enlisted soldiers, particularly as they touch on aspects of our general theme.
