Call for Papers: Medieval Prayer (Kalamazoo & Leeds)

International Medieval Congress Leeds, 12-15 July, 2004: Prayer in the Middle Ages

You are cordially invited to submit a paper proposal for the International Medieval Congress, to be held at the University of Leeds; proposals for sessions of three related papers are also welcomed. This particular CFP involves papers on topics in medieval prayer, particularly those touching on the general topic for this IMC, "Clash of Cultures" (which celebrates the sack of Constantinople in 1204). Papers in the sessions will take a critical look at the history, practice, and theology of prayer, which is a key element of the history of medieval spirituality.
