Calling all women of color activists and academics willing to write short 10-25 page essays pertaining to feminist/womanist/pro-woman histories. Histories of feminist movements, women of color's lives and activism, and analysis of creative forms of activism are welcome.
We are publishing a new anthology of feminist theory and praxis that hopes to bridge the gap between academic feminism and feminist activism, and dominant and "peripheral" feminisms/subjectivities, in texts for Women's Studies courses. The theme of the anthology is globalizing women's studies and all essays must address issues pertinent to women of color within the united states or outside of it. We are currently accepting 250 word abstracts (deadline is August 15) Inquiries (including request for the full CFP) and abstracts can be directed to via email.
