Independent scholar, Leona Rittner (Brooklyn, NY), wishes to hear from Italianists who are knowledgeable about Italian Cultural Studies / History or Italian Literature (which, naturally, you all are). Leona is assembling a book of essays on the subject of the cafe as an international and cross cultural literary institution. To date, her collection requires attention to the Italian cafe. Essays (about 15 pages in length) may address any time period in Italy's history or any specific Italian cafe(s). Please contact with an abstract or completed paper.
