The 6th Conference on Women and the Civil War, to be held in Richmond, Virginia, June 25th-27th, 2004, is dedicated to recognizing the lives and efforts of women from 1861 - 1865, both Union and Confederate.
Potential presenters should submit:
- An abstract of their paper, or a description of their presentation, no more than five (5) pages.
- A bibliography of the sources, both primary and secondary, used in their research.
- A personal vita or biography, no more than one (1) page.
Please include both hard-copy and a floppy disc. (Both WordPerfect and Word are acceptable formats.)
Only papers and presentations based on primary sources will be considered for selection. Visual aids, such as photographs and artifacts, are encouraged. Slide projectors and Powerpoint will be available at the Conference.
Deadline: All submissions must be postmarked by September 20, 2003. The Society will contact all submitters in November 2003.
