Call for Reviewers

The Social History of Alcohol Review (SHAR) is looking for people interested in reviewing recent works in the history of alcohol, drugs, temperance and prohibition. If you know of a recently published book that you think we should review in the SHAR, send us the information about the book (author, title, publisher, date, etc). Also indicate if you would like to review it.

The Social History of Alcohol Review is the journal of the The Alcohol and Temperance History Group (ATHG), which was founded in 1979 to foster the exchange of ideas among scholars of all disciplines who are interested in any aspect of past alcohol use, abuse, production, and control within given societies or countries. The SHAR is intended to feature work in the social, cultural, economic and political history of alcohol and other drugs, and is not limited to any specific geographical scope.
