History Workshop on Youth & Education in the Third Reich, offered at Heinrich-Heine-University, Duesseldorf (5.-8. Augsut 2003). The workshop deals on the essentials of national-socialist youth education: its institutions and practice (Hitler-Youth and NS-Elite-Schools), its propaganda (spec. films) and its programmatics as delivered by the "leaders" ("Jugendfuehrer":Hitler, v. Schirach). The workshop will be run bi-lingual (English/German), basic German is indispensable for reading historical papers. The workshop includes an excursion to the Ordensburg Vogelsang. Participants may be fully housed, stipends are available. Students, scientists, and educators are kindly invited.
