Parlor Press announces the inauguration of a new series, Writing Travel, under the editorship of Jeanne Moskal of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. We welcome proposals for orignal travel writing, editions, translations, scholarly studies of bodies of travel writing by individuals or groups, including tourists, anthropologists, immigrants, missionaries and pilgrims, and theoretical studies addressing travel and travel writing's engagements with religion and secularity; with globalization, nationalism and cosmopolitanism; with history of the book, translation studies, and print culture; with issues of race, region, and ethnicity; and with issues of gender and sexuality.
See our website for further information.
E-mail inquiries welcome.
