Internet journal “Kultura i Historia” is issuing a call for publications. The journal is published by Institute of Methodology of History, University of Maria Sklodowska- Curie in Lublin, Poland, under the auspices of Commission of Methodology of History, Polish Academy of Science.
“Kultura i Historia” will devote a special issue to the problems of feminism and gender. Its aim is to create a space where topics related to broadly defined gender studies will be discussed. Articles and essays as well as book reviews are welcome.
Proposed areas of interest:
- cultural constructions of femininity and masculinity
- transgressing the limits of sex and gender
- representations of gender in art, literature, history and popular culture
- feminism- history and future
- feminism in Central- Eastern Europe and its originality
- post-feminism- decline of feminism or rethinking of its ideas?
- women rights as human rights
Proposals (300 words) should be submitted by 10th June 2003.
Selected authors will be invited to write an article by the end of September 2003.
Special issue of “Kultura i Historia” will be available in January 2004.
