An intensive two week course that will analyze genocide through a multi-disciplinary approach. The program will focus on the Armenian Genocide as the archtypal genocide of the 20th century and compare it with the Jewish Holocaust, the Rwandan genocide and ethnic cleansing in Bosnia and Kosovo. Some of the topics covered include: development of the concept of human rights, development of the concept of genocide, comparison of genocides, genocide and international politics,etc. The course is taught by a team of distinguished academic specialists drawn from universities in the United States and Canada.
