Professor Dick Hebdige, author of "Subculture: The Meaning of Style," will be presenting the keynote address of the University of Detroit Mercy's Summer Institute/Teaching with Technology Academy. The address will take place at 4 pm in the Loranger Architecture Building on the McNichols Campus. Professor Hebdige is a media and cultural critic who has published numerous articles and books on popular culture, art, design, and critical theory. He is currently Director of the Interdisciplinary Humanities Center and a Professor in the departments of Studio Art and Film Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
