Greetings. I am seeking 2 other papers on topics of the US Civil War related to Medical or Gender Topics for the OAH Regional Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia on July 8-11, 2004. I am currently a PhD Candidate at the University of Mississippi and my paper will focus on the changing notions of dependency for the women who loved COnfederate amputees. I think a strong panel would encompass other papers either on changing notions of gender during or after the Civil War as well as any medical papers that provide new insight. I would love to form a panel with a mix of faculty and graduate students. Please email me your topic and feel free to ask any questions if interested.
