Conference on the ethics of immigration sponsored by the Maguire Center for Ethics and Public Responsibility, the John Goodwin Tower Center for Political Studies, the Institute for Research on Public Policy in Montreal, and the Jno. E. Owens Memorial Foundation in Dallas.

The daylong conference, which will be held in the Hughes-Trigg Student Center Theater, is titled "The Ethics of Immigration Policy: Seeking the Common Good" and will feature nationally and internationally respected authorities including Hugh Segal, President of the Instittue for Reserach on Public Policy Montreal; Doris Meissner,former Commissioner of the INS; former Republican Senator from Wyoming, Alan Simpson; Luis Ernest Derbez, Foreign Minister of Mexico; Barney Frank, US Congressman and member of the Committee on Homeland Security; Fransciso Alba, Center of Demographic Studies and Urban Development, el Collegio de Mexico to name a few.
