This conference will explore the impact of the romanesque architecture and its importance to the services within Durham Cathedral, one of the finest unchanged romanesque sites in the world.

The conference includes a day-trip to York and Selby where the influence of the romanesque can be seen. At Durham, the conference includes papers from Eric Fernie, Malcolm Thurlby and other world experts. Also included are tours of the cathedral and castle (with dinner in the Great Hall).
