I am writing to announce the publication of a bilingual translation by Joseph Adler of Kenyon College of Chu Hsi's Introduction to the Study of the Classic of Changes (I-hsüeh ch’i-meng)., a work that was intended by Chu as both primer for both the study of the I-ching and divination using it. This is also its first English translation.
Since this is the inaugural volume of the Consortium for Bilingual Translations in Chinese History, Literature, Philosophy and Religion, the publisher, Global Scholarly Publications, is making a special introductory offer: a free copy for anyone who has requested that his or her library purchase it, or a 50% discount on the price of $30. An order form and further information about the volume and the Consortium can be found at our website.
The Consortium is also soliciting translations of Chinese works for its series. Questions concerning the submission of manuscripts or about the Consortium should be addressed to the email address below.
