Creole Studies Conference
October 23-25, 2003
Sponsored by the Creole Studies Consortium, a partnership between Tulane University and Northwestern State University of Louisiana
The first international conference to explore past, present and future studies of Creole culture, Creole Legacies: The Current Status and Future Prospects of Creole Studies Research aims to bring together scholars and members of the general public from throughout the U.S. and beyond to New Orleans in order to share their research findings and family histories.
The conference will consist of paper presentations, roundtables, open discussion forums, exhibits and workshops, as well as a Creole Heritage Ball and local tours pertaining to Creole history and culture.
