The focus of this conference will be on biological, psychological and social determinants and consequences of psychiatric illness in childhood/ adolescence, adulthood, and old age. Methodological problems in psychiatric epidemiology such as disentangling antecedents from consequences will also be discussed.
Furthermore, the meeting will address the application of epidemiological data to prevention, and to the planning and evaluation of medical and psychosocial services.
