Our Keynote Speaker, Gary Okihiro of Columbia University's Center for the Study of Ethnicity and Race, will give his lecture: "Toward a Black Pacific."
Conference Highlights will include "The Economics of Color-Blind Affirmative Action" by Glenn C. Loury, "Images of Blacks in Europe," "Teaching Atlantic History," "Africans Meet Asians on Global Screens," and "Asia, Africa, Islam, Native America and 'The West.'"
Banquet Speaker S. Allen Counter will give his talk entitled, "A Negro Explorer at the North Pole: The Legacy of Matthew Henson."
The Event will span Friday, 11 April 2003 to Sunday, April 13 2003.
