The 25th Annual Mid America History Conference has extended the deadline for paper and session proposals to May 15, 2003. A primary theme of the conference is the 1954 Brown v Topeka Board of Education decision, but papers and sessions in any field of history are welcome. In addition to traditional scholarly papers, the conference also welcomes proposals for workshops and roundtables. Panels on Applied History, Historical Agencies, and the Teaching of History are especially sought. Submit abstracts of 250 words plus one page CVs for each session or panel to Dr. Margaret Caffrey. Email submissions are preferred. Also those wishing to serve as chairs or in giving comments may so indicate to Dr. Caffrey. Please include a one page CV. For further information see our website.
