We are approaching the very end of article assignment of the new Encyclopedia of the Great Depression. This two volume, 1000-page reference work, edited by Robert S. McElvaine, Tony Badger, Roger Biles, Patricia Sullivan, and Joe Trotter will be published later this year.
We are looking for contributors to write the remaining unassigned articles (see list below).
We must receive all manuscripts by May 9, 2003. All contributors will receive $0.10/word and one copy of the encyclopedia.
Macmillan’s many award-winning American history titles include the Encyclopedia of African-American History and Culture, the Encyclopedia of the American Constitution, and the encyclopedia of American Immigrant Cultures. In the tradition of these fine works, the Encyclopedia of the Great Depression will provide a comprehensive overview of a topic that is central to high school and college curriculums around the world. This wide-ranging, multidisciplinary encyclopedia will feature entries on depression-era politics, government, business, economics, literature, the arts, society, and culture.
If you are interested in becoming a contributor, please specify the entry(ies) you are interested in and provide a c.v. or background info to help the editorial board approve the invitation.
