Boston Jewish Women’s Studies Graduate Student Symposium (April 9, 2003)
The Hadassah International Research Institute on Jewish Women (HIRIJW) invites local graduate students working in the area of Jewish studies and gender issues to participate in a symposium at Brandeis University’s Women’s Studies Research Center on Wednesday, April 9, 2003 from 2-5 p.m.
Topics to be discussed include grant, publishing and research opportunities in the growing field of Jewish Women’s Studies. Join us to meet other graduate students researching Jews and gender, and benefit from their insights and experiences. Participants will learn about their collective work and how best to support each other.

This first annual symposium is dedicated to the memory of Professor Dafna Izraeli who died after a short illness in February 2003 in Israel. Professor of Sociology at Bar Ilan University and founder of its Gender and Women's Studies Program, Dafna was a close friend of the HIRIJW and its staff.
