This year’s conference will be held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Southeast World History Association (SEWHA). This year’s conference themes are: The Boundaries of World History: Chronological, Methodological, Disciplinary; Migration and Identity; and Comparative Perspectives on Islam and Islamic Politics. The featured keynote speakers will be Michele Forman, the 2001 National Teacher of the Year; Edmund “Terry” Burke III, Professor of History at the University of California at Santa Cruz; and Patrick J. Geary, Professor of History at UCLA.

Conference events begin Friday, June 27 and include panel discussions, an introductory AP world history teachers’ workshop, a three-day book exhibit, a luncheon banquet, and two hosted receptions.
