Please join us for the World History Association’s Annual Conference, June 27-29, 2003, at Georgia State University (GSU) in downtown Atlanta. This year’s conference will be held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Southeast World History Association (SEWHA). This year’s conference themes are: The Boundaries of World History: Chronological, Methodological, Disciplinary; Migration and Identity; and Comparative Perspectives on Islam and Islamic Politics. The featured keynote speakers will be Michele Forman, the 2001 National Teacher of the Year; Edmund “Terry” Burke III, Professor of History at the University of California at Santa Cruz; and Patrick J. Geary, Professor of History at UCLA.
Conference events begin Friday, June 27 and include panel discussions, an introductory AP world history teachers’ workshop, a three-day book exhibit, a luncheon banquet, and two hosted receptions.
