The Gulf South History and Humanities Conference is an annual event sponsored by the Gulf South History Association. The 2003 Conference, held October 16,17 and 18, 2003 at the Pensacola Beazch Hampton Inn, welcomes papers, panels, roundtables, performances and workshops exploring all aspects of the history and cultures of the Gulf South. The association awards the William S. Coker Prize in Gulf Suth History for the best graduate level paper presented at the annual conference. The prize-winning paper receives a $250.00 cash prize and is eligible for publication in the association's juried journal, the Gulf South Historical Review. Please send a brief c.v., the title of the paper and a short abstract.
