Culture as History: 25th Annual Warren I. Susman Graduate Student Conference

The conference committee is currently accepting proposals for individual papers or complete panels of three to four papers that explore the conference theme of Culture as History, in celebration of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Susman Conference. Papers and panels that explore the intersections of cultural history with other types of history (social, intellectual, diplomatic/political), and those that focus on power dynamics (including gender, race, ethnicity, and class relationships) are especially encouraged. Interdisciplinary approaches are also welcome.

Papers should have a reading time of twenty minutes. For all proposals, please submit two copies of a one-page abstract, along with a CV. For panel proposals, please also include a one-page panel statement.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS MARCH 3, 2003 AT 5PM.
