The Washington Center offers internships and academic seminars for all majors in Washington, D.C.
The Washington Center Internship Program
Nationally recognized for its contributions to experiential education, our internship program makes use of a unique format that allows you to gain academic credit from your college or university.
In addition to our general internship program, we have developed discipline-based internship program initiatives to provide students with in-depth exposure to subject matter knowledge. These internship program initiatives include:
- Diversity Leaders Internship Program/Diversity in Congress Program
- Environment/Energy Internship Program
- Mass Communications Internship Program
- NAFTA Leaders Internship Program, the Mexican Governors Program, TWC-ITESM Program and, the Americas Program
- Nonprofit Leaders Internship Program
- Women Leaders Internship Program
Each of these programs has its own eligibility criteria. They mostly feature additional academic programming (i.e., mandatory course, leadership seminar, etc.) that complements our traditional internship components. We provide limited financial assistance to students accepted into these internship program initiatives.
