Disciplining Knowledge is an interdisciplinary graduate student conference featuring keynote speaker Rachel Maines, author of The Technology of Orgasm: 'Hysteria,' the Vibrator, and Women's Sexual Satisfaction. We aim to explore the disciplinary boundaries that make knowledge possible but which can also impede scholarly investigation, police the production of knowledge, and delegitimize scholarship which expands or crosses those boundaries. The event is from 8:30 - 5:00 and is free and open to the public. This conference was made possible by support of the Center for the Critical Analysis of Contemporary Culture, the Graduate Student Asssociation, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and the Department of English, Rutgers University.
