Conference Announcement and Call for Papers

Empire, Subjectivity and Political Theory
24-25 July 2003

Presenters will be asked to address the following question:
How have political concepts, theories and categories arising out of non-European and non-Western cultural contexts, and out of colonial and postcolonial histories, come to inform the canons of political theory in Europe and the West?

The deadline for submission of proposed paper abstracts (150 words) is Friday, 14 March. More details about the conference and accommodation will be posted later.
