Dr. James S. Olson's career has spanned some thirty years in teaching, writing, and administration. Olson is the author of over 35 books, including his most recent _Bathsheba's Breast: Women, Cancer, and History_ (Johns Hopkins). Sam Houston State University is proud to honor Dr. Olson with the dediation of an auditorium in his name, followed by a public reception and then a one-day symposium on the craft of the historian. The dedication will take place Thursday, 6 February. The symposium, including five separate sessions and a closing reception, will be held Friday, 7 February. Over the course of his career, Olson has taught an estimated 30,000 students. These Olson alums are especially invited to join in the celebration.
