The National Black Deaf Advocates announces a call for papers for its annual conference in Denver, Colorado on August 20-24, 2003. The 2003 conference theme is Soaring Higher: Meeting the Challenges, Realizing the Opportunities. Topic areas are advocacy, technology, education and culture. Scholars, both deaf and hearing, disability advocates, hearing parents of deaf children, teachers of deaf students and others in the disability field are urged to submit papers. Presentation topics closely related to the conference theme are especially encouraged.
