Dr. Barbara Ehrenreich, activist and scholar, will present the keynote
address at the Seventh Annual Conference on Holidays, Ritual, Festival, Celebration, and Public Display, May 29-31, 2003, on the campus of
Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio, 43403. She will be speaking on "the politics of festivities and ecstatic rituals" from
Dionysian rituals in the ancient Mediterranean to fan behavior at modern sporting events.

INDIVIDUAL PAPERS AND MEDIA PRESENTATIONS:
Send three copies of a one-page vita and a proposal that includes your name, department/program, institution, mailing and e-mail addresses, telephone and FAX numbers, title of paper, and 300-word abstract.
FOR PANELS:
Send three copies of a one-page vita for each participant; a 150-word abstract of the session's theme including the title of the session; a 300-word abstract for each participant including their name, department/program, institution, mailing and e-mail addresses, telephone and FAX numbers, and title of paper; contact data for the session coordinator (please include home and office telephone numbers and preferred mailing address and e-mail addresses, especially if different from institutional addresses).
AUDIO-VISUAL REQUIREMENTS:
