The Center for Jewish History Genealogy Institute and the American Jewish Historical Society are pleased to host renowned historian and author Hasia Diner to lecture on “Jews and Other Immigrants: Parallels and Contrasts”. The lecture and the reception to follow will take place at the Center for Jewish History (15 W 16th St., NYC.), Tuesday February 11, 4pm-6pm.
Hasia Diner is the author of "Hungering for America: Italian, Irish, and Jewish Foodways in the Age of Migration" (Harvard University Press, 2001). She is the Paul S. and Sylvia Steinberg Professor of American Jewish History at the Skirball Department of Hebrew and Judaic Studies at New York University and a fellow of the American Academy of Jewish Research.
