The University of Kentucky’s History Department invites paper and panel proposals for its annual conference to be held April 11-12, 2003. The Bluegrass Symposium provides a forum for graduate and advanced undergraduate students to present their works and receive feedback from faculty members and audiences. Conference papers (approximately 10 pages/2,500 words) may be based upon original research or synthesis of scholarship. We invite submissions from all areas of the historical discipline.
To submit a proposal for a paper and/or session, send a one-page proposal for each presentation and a one-page C.V. for each participant. Panel proposals should include 2 or 3 presenters and a commentator. Abstracts for papers should be approximately 200 - 400 words, typed and double-spaced. Email submissions are encouraged and will be accepted until the deadline.
