AERA Division F: History and Historiography
Mentoring Seminar for Graduate Students and Junior Faculty
On Sunday, April 20, 2003 (before the opening day of the AERA annual meeting), a group of educational historians will discuss scholarship, career issues, and funding opportunities. The evening will feature a keynote speech by the award-winning Professor Barbara Finkelstein, whose research has examined historical and cultural dimensions of education as they have affected the lives of children, youth, minorities, and women. Roundtable discussions will address issues of concern to graduate students and junior faculty.
ALL junior-faculty and graduate-student members of Division F are encouraged to apply. Priority will be given to junior faculty within 4 years of degree completion and graduate students who have completed their course work. Dinner is provided and AERA will reimburse attendees for Sunday night’s lodging.
Sunday, April 20, 2003, 5-10 PM (the evening before the AERA annual meeting gets underway)
Participants must be members of Division F.
Location: Near conference hotels (specific location TBA)
Dinner is provided and AERA will reimburse attendees for one night’s lodging.
