The Joint Atlantic Seminar for the History of Biology will take place at The Rockefeller University on Saturday, 5 April 2003. Graduate students and recent graduates interested in the history of the biological and biomedical sciences are encouraged to submit abstracts for consideration.
This meeting, now in its thirty-ninth year, provides a unique opportunity for historians of science in training to present a paper to a particularly well-informed and engaged audience of faculty, students, and scholars from many institutions.
As is customary, every effort will be made to defray the costs of attendance for all graduate students.
A welcoming reception is planned for Friday evening, 4 April, and a banquet will be held on Saturday evening following the presentations.
Pre-registration for all attending the meeting will be required, as the Rockefeller campus is not open to the public. Please use the above addresses to request registration materials, which will be available in February.
