We are seeking papers and presentations from all disciplines. We invite applicants to submit proposals of 250 words for individual papers. Panels will be organized around the following suggested themes:

History
Philosophy & Religion
Health Care
Gender Roles & Sexuality
Social Movements
Science & Technology
Environmental Issues
Politics & Law
African-Centered Education
Representations in the Media (News, Radio, Print & Hollywood) and the Arts (Verbal, Visual & Performing)

Completed papers and abstracts are due by January 17, 2003. Presentations should be a maximum of 20 minutes in length (about 10 double-spaced pages). A page attached to the abstract should include the title of the paper, your name, a short biographical statement, department, address, phone number, and e-mail address.
