To commemorate the launch of CRAFT (the Christopher Roby Archive of Film Texts), Edge Hill is hosting a conference on Archiving the Cinema on April 10th and 11th 2003.

Papers cover such areas as archiving film stock, teaching film studies, film history and the historian and librarianship and film related collections. The deadline for proposals is January 13th but late proposals will be considered until February 3rd.

The keynote speaker is Dr Duncan Petrie of the Bill Douglas Centure for the History of Popular Culture and Cinema and it is planned that a collection of papers will be published following the conference.
