Interested scholars and teacher are invited to submit proposals for papers and/or panels to be presented at the twelfth annual meeting of the World History Association, June 26-29, 2003, at Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia. Papers on the scholarly and/or pedagogical aspects of the following themes are especially encouraged, but proposals outside these themes will also be considered.
The primary themes are:
- Migration and Identity
- Comparative Perspectives on Islam and Islamic Politics
- The Boundaries of World History: Chronological, Methodological, Disciplinary
Proposals for individual papers or entire panels should include the following information:
- The title of paper or panel
- a brief description of the content and approach of each paper (and the focus of the panel)
- the name and institutional affiliation of the participant
- whether the participant is a current member of the WHA
