The Department of Afro-American Studies at the University of Wisconsin - Madison is now accepting registration for the Du Bois - Souls Centennial Symposium, 10-12 April 2003. Keynote speakers are David Levering Lewis, Cheryl Townsend Gilkes, Deborah McDowell, and Howard Winant. The Symposium schedule includes over thirty scholars from diverse disciplines on six panels addressing Du Bois in relation to gender; politics; art; multiculturalism; internationalism; and The Souls of Black Folk itself.
