The Frank C. Munson Institute of American Maritime Studies is accepting
applications for the 2003 summer courses for graduate students. Students
may participate for credit in any of three courses: "America and the Sea,"
"Maritime History Seminar," and "Independent Research," all of which are
accredited through Trinity College, the University of Connecticut,
Connecticut College, and Wesleyan University. Housed on the grounds of its
partent organization, Mystic Seaport Museum of American and the Sea,
students will have access to the G. W. Blunt White Library. The Library
holds 75,000 volumes and a manuscript collection of approximately 700,000
logs, journals, business records, and correspondence. In addition to the
library, students have access to the museum's collection of vessels and
