Today's Best Military Writing

The publishing firm TOR (St.Martin's Press) has asked me to prepare a book (hopefully, the first of a series) which will feature the best military writing published in the last three years. Tentative theme this year is Homeland Defense, but this may change. I will welcome submissions regarding all services, and all nations, and they may be historical, analytical, philosophical, reportorial, etc. The main thing is that they be the best military writing of the time. The book will be about 100,000 words, so I'm seeking perhaps 15 to 20 or more articles of varying lengths. I will also welcome theme suggestions. My due date is June 30, 2003, so time is of the essence for me. Your help and suggestions will be most appreciated.
