The UK Centre for the History of Nursing and the Oxford Wellcome Unit for History of Medicine invite papers on topics related to the physical and cultural migrations of nurses and midwives and the evolution and migration of nursing knowledge and skills in all regions of the world from the eighteenth to the twentieth century.
Papers of 20 minutes each will be presented in a series of themed concurrent sessions. Abstracts of 250 words should be submitted, preferably by email (address below for mailing).
The abstract should include a complete title, the author's name and institutional affiliation, and be double spaced. Please also include a concise curriculum vitae of no more than 100 words and contact details including email, telephone number and full postal address.
The programme committee welcomes session proposals. These should include three contributors whose proposed papers pursue a linked theme.
