The purpose of Cefiro's organization is to promote the study of Latin American and Iberian languages, literatures and cultures. Included in this goal are the sponsorships of a yearly conference and the publication of a periodical.

A graduate student organization at Texas Tech University, Céfiro is committed to the investigation and diffusion of Latin America's and Iberia's literary and cultural creations. Its journal publishes critical and fictional works on a wide range of themes and authors.

Céfiro's journal is intended to be inclusive in its publications while maintaining its professionalism and integrity as an Academic Journal. We invite submissions of creative works, of no more that fifteen double-spaced pages written in Spanish, English or Portuguese, critical works of no more than twenty double-spaced pages written in Spanish, Portuguese or English. Please send a hard copy and a duplicate on disk in Microsoft Word 2000. MLA Style required.
