Ecological Communities: Literary Representations of Nature
2003 SCMLA Convention, Hot Springs, Arkansas, October 30-November 1
I invite papers for a proposed special session on the representation of natural communities in literature. How do writers portray the complex interactions present in the natural world? Though papers dealing with traditional nature writers and texts are welcome, I am especially interested in papers that draw from texts not typically associated with ecocriticism.
