Request for submissions for the first issue of the Madison Historical Review, an online graduate history journal.
Call for Papers Deadline:
The Madison Historical Review is designed to provide a scholarly exchange between graduate history students and their peers in the field, to encourage historical scholarship, to aid in the refinement of research, analytical and writing skills, and to contribute overall to the historian's development.
Submissions addressing a number of topics in American and European history including culture, politics, foreign affairs, and public history will be considered for publication.
Submissions should be presented in Courier New font (11 pt.), as well as having 1.5 line spacing. The typical margins of .5 inch on each side and 1 inch at the top and bottom of the page will suffice. The papers should be no less than fifteen pages and not exceed twenty pages in length including footnotes not endnotes. Three hardcopies with the author's name appearing only on the cover sheet, as well as one copy in Microsoft Word format on disk should be sent to the address below.
All submissions for the first issue should be received by December 15, 2002. Any submissions that are received after that date will be considered for future publication.
