The Indiana Magazine of History (IMH) invites article submissions from scholars conducting original historical research pertinent to the state of Indiana and its surrounding regions.
The IMH is a refereed quarterly journal published by Indiana University in cooperation with the Indiana Historical Society. As the journal nears its hundredth year of publication, we particularly seek articles that either:
extend traditional boundaries of historical inquiry or
reconsider the assumptions of regional and local identity that lie at the heart of ours and other regionally based historical journals.
Accepted articles become eligible for the Thornbrough Prize, an annual award of $1000 given for the best article appearing in the IMH.
