The Journal of Musicological Research (MUR)
Call for Papers 4Q2002 for SARA and ISI.
The Journal of Musicological Research, a peer-reviewed quarterly publication with international circulation, is published under the Routledge imprint of the Taylor & Francis Group. The journal features original articles on all aspects of the discipline of music, including historical musicology, style and repertory studies, music theory, ethnomusicology, music education, organology, and interdisciplinary studies.
Because contemporary music scholarship addresses critical and analytical issues from a multiplicity of viewpoints, the Journal of Musicological Research seeks to present studies from all perspectives, using the full spectrum of methodologies. In addition to original research articles, the journal also publishes book reviews.
The Editors of this journal invite contributions of any length addressing all aspects of music studies. Contributors should send three anonymous copies of their manuscripts to the Editors at the address listed and should be prepared to submit their work in electronic form, if requested, later in the editorial process. Clear draft copies of musical examples should accompany submissions.
Informal inquiries may be directed to the Editorial Assistant, Marie Sumner Lott, via email at jmr@arts.unco.edu.
