Green College and the Latin American Studies Program at UBC invite paper proposals for an interdisciplinary graduate student conference to be held January 17 and 18, 2003, at Green College, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. The focus of the conference is Latin American Representations and its goal is to foster the creation of a community of scholars conducting research in Latin American history, arts, film, politics, geography and culture. The screening of films and other community events, held in conjunction with the conference, will also encourage the participation of members of the general public with an interest in Latin American culture and its representation in North America.
